Lifesavers Ventilator Ambulance From Delhi to Srinagar
Published on: March 22, 2026

Transfer
requires careful planning and continuous intensive care support. Life Savers Ambulance
Services recently completed a challenging transfer of an extremely critical patient on
ventilator support from Delhi to Srinagar, covering a distance of approximately 900
kilometers by road.
Case Overview
The patient was in a highly unstable condition and required mechanical ventilation and
constant medical supervision. Due to the urgency of the condition and the need for
uninterrupted respiratory support the treating doctors recommended transfer to Srinagar for
further specialized care.
Given the long distance and changing geographic conditions Life Savers Ventilator
Ambulance was deployed to ensure continuity of ICU-level care throughout the journey.
Patient Condition
- Extremely critical medical condition
- Dependent on mechanical ventilator support
- Required continuous oxygen delivery
- High risk of deterioration during prolonged transport
- Needed uninterrupted monitoring of vital parameters
The patient’s condition made careful handling and close observation essential at every stage of
the transfer.
Medical Setup During Transport
The Life Savers ICU ambulance was prepared as a mobile intensive care unit and included:
- Advanced ventilator with adequate oxygen backup
- Multiparameter monitoring for heart rate oxygen saturation and blood pressure
- Infusion pumps for medications and fluids
- Emergency airway management and resuscitation equipment
A trained medical team accompanied the patient to provide continuous clinical assessment and
immediate intervention if required.
During the journey:
- Ventilator support was maintained without interruption
- Vital signs were closely monitored throughout the route
- Oxygen levels and ventilator parameters were adjusted as needed
- Patient positioning and comfort were carefully managed
- Medical readiness was maintained despite long travel duration and changing terrain
The transfer was completed smoothly with the patient remaining clinically stable under constant
supervision.
Arrival and Handover
Upon arrival in Srinagar the patient was safely shifted to the receiving hospital. A detailed
clinical handover was provided including ventilator settings monitoring observations and
interventions performed during transport.
Clinical Perspective
Road transfers involving ventilator-dependent patients over long distances demand meticulous
coordination and experienced medical teams. Managing respiratory support and patient stability
during prolonged journeys is critical to preventing complications.
Through this successful mission Life Savers Ambulance Services once again fulfilled its
responsibility as true Life Savers, ensuring critically ill patients receive uninterrupted ICU-level
care even across long distances and challenging routes.
