Case Overview

A critically ill patient was referred for international transfer from Max Super Speciality Hospital,

Saket, Delhi to a tertiary care facility in Yangon, Myanmar. Given the patient’s dependence on

advanced life support and the need for rapid yet stable transport, an air-based medical

evacuation was selected.

Patient Condition

At the time of transfer, the patient was on invasive mechanical ventilation with very high oxygen

requirements and required multiple inotropic supports to maintain hemodynamic stability.

Continuous monitoring and uninterrupted respiratory support were essential throughout the

journey.

Transport Decision

Considering the clinical instability, long distance, and urgency of transfer, a medical air

ambulance charter was chosen. Air ambulance transport allowed controlled oxygen delivery,

Arrival and Handover

Upon arrival in Yangon, the patient was safely transferred from the air ambulance to the
